This eliminates the need to use a heat gun and the possiblitly of melting down a pair of boots you will have to replace. Very accurate punches by using the portable clamp, which is plugged into the digital display control. You can tell when the boot is to temperature when the display reaches 230 degrees F. Turn off heat and allow the boot to cool on it's own or with a fan, and remove the punch. The display tells you when the boot is cool enough.
